FESTIVAL TO HONOR A MEMPHIS LEGEND
The first annual Jimmie Lunceford Jamboree Festival is taking place in Memphis this weekend, Oct 19th through 21st. The purpose of this festival is to honor and bring awareness to the forgotten and impressive legacy and achievements of Jimmie Lunceford, the first high school band orchestra leader/conductor in the history of the Memphis City Schools.
